We collaborate across Edward Jones Home Office teams and external third-party relationships to deliver high-quality, personalized advice with a particular focus on actionable financial planning, portfolio/product strategy, and services to meet our client’s most important wealth management needs.
What You Will Do:
- Independently and consistently provide the right level of consultative support across the client journey based on the client’s unique situation and most important needs across our various service models – from the creation of tailored investment advice and strategies to the portfolio analysis, construction, and implementation needed to bring a financial plan to life – to drive impactful client outcomes and world-class experiences.

- Consult with financial advisors on HNW client scenarios that involve a focus on exploring or incorporating complex products, specifically Alternatives (i.e., private equity, private credit, private real estate) into client portfolios. Serve as the dedicated subject-matter expert responsible for everything from product education, to client suitability assessment, to fund selection and portfolio allocation, and ultimately trade execution.
- Provide world-class service and timely, professional expert level case management to financial advisors by providing seamless end-to-end support (individually or in collaboration with stakeholders), within the desired timeframe, and in alignment with expectations.
- Lead or actively contribute to key strategic initiatives/projects within the Private Wealth department and across the Wealth Management Field Management (WMFM) division, in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, that enables the firm’s evolution to deliver strong goals-based advice, financial planning, and asset management services.
- Manage significant branch team/client escalations and direct resources to achieve the right results.
- Achieve results through others, by serving as an informal leader and mentor to develop newer associates on the Investment Consultation team and across the Private Wealth department.
- Possess and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes – assess how these themes impact our fee-based program offerings (Core Wealth, Signature Experience), the implementation of firm advice and guidance, and the ability to deliver the personalization sought by current/prospective clients.
Current Internal home-based associates please note: Even as a campus-based posted role you are eligible to apply and, if selected, you may retain your home-based status. Joshua Bowden
Financial Advisor, Sault Ste. Marie, ON
In 2004, I was a single parent supporting three young girls. I worked for a not-for-profit organization, and my income was not enough to support a family…Initially, I joined the firm to increase my income, or at least have some control over it. Although I worked very hard to build my business, I had the freedom to control my schedule and my income.

When it comes to your
compensation,
we want to be clear.
#1 Your performance drives your compensation – and we won’t limit it with earning caps. Not now, not ever.
#2 Our compensation is competitive and multi-faceted. Commissions and trimester bonuses – based on individual branch and firm profitability – make up the bulk of your variable income. But your total payout may include travel awards and profit sharing. And the opportunity to be rewarded for transitioning client relationships to financial advisors looking to grow.
#3 Our compensation is simple and transparent. We make it easy to understand how you are rewarded and strive to minimize grid changes. You know exactly what to expect and how to impact your results.
Our partnership structure frees you to focus on your clients.
Being a partnership makes us distinctly different from our competitors. More than a structure, it’s a mindset. And it permeates every aspect of our business. From how we work with each other – think collaboration not competition – to our long-term investment philosophy. It’s most at work in our shared focus on doing what’s right for the client. And it’s easy for us to do. Because we have no competing interests. No shareholders clamoring for short-term profits. We can take the long view, because we only answer to our clients. And to ourselves. Our financial advisors find this single-minded focus freeing. A clear mandate for success. And a clear path to get there.
Transitioning your
practice is a difficult
decision.
We’re here to help.
Moving your practice to another firm may be the most stressful decision of your professional life. We understand. And our transition team is here to help. From early days when you are just beginning to consider the opportunity. To that glorious first day of opening your practice. And our support is not one-size-fits-all. We will tailor your transition to you and your practice – with you leading the way. Ensuring a smooth transition for you and your clients. And a solid path forward for next-level growth.
Investing in You
As a valued branch-team member, you will share in the success of your branch – and the firm. Our market competitive compensation program recognizes your individual contributions, promotes a long-term career, contributes to your financial security and promotes the well-being of you and your family.

I was a high school teacher. When I decided I wanted to make a career change at 36, I looked at all of the skills I brought to the table – planning, problem solving and, most importantly, building relationships. Financial advisor was one of the future in-demand professions, and when I looked at what it took to be a good advisor, it matched my list of strengths.
